Description

The Pleasant Valley Trail is actually an extremely hazardous road that is used by high-clearance, 4-wheel drive vehicle but it is not recommended for motorized vehicles.<br />
There are several old mines in this area so be careful of falling in a shaft or experiencing a cave-in. source: fs.usda.gov

Directions

The October 1983 flood destroyed the bridge in North Clifton. Cross the river between Section 19 and 30 to approach Limestone Gulch.<br /><br />Follow Forest Road 212 on the northeast side of the river for a mile to Limestone Gulch. Forest Road #212 proceeds northwest from the trailhead to the Martinez Ranch and on down the San Francisco River to Clifton, crossing the river about 55 times.<br /><br />Forest Road #212 proceeds south from the trailhead to AZ 78, known locally as the Mule Creek Road.
